Dr. Diana Nguyen OD

Dr. Diana Nguyen completed her Honours Bachelor's of Science in Biochemistry at McMaster University in 2016 and then went to complete her Doctor of Optometry at the University of Waterloo in 2020. During optometry school, she served as the Vice President of Education on the Canadian Association of Optometry Students, where she increased public awareness about optometry through local community booths and educational videos on YouTube.

Dr. Nguyen completed an externship in Northern British Columbia where she managed acute eye emergencies and ocular diseases such as diabetic retinopathy. She also trained at the University of Waterloo Specialty Clinics where she learned how to manage myopia and fit specialty contact lenses. Dr. Nguyen also trained at eyeLABS in advanced dry eye disease, myopia control and glaucoma management. She has a special interest in dry eyes and specialty contact lenses. 

Dr. Nguyen enjoys mentoring and writing content for patients, optometrists and optometry students. She works with MyDryEye.ca creating patient-facing educational content about dry eye disease. 

While outside of clinic, Dr. Nguyen enjoys hiking, graphic designing, weight lifting and spending time with her family and friends. You can connect with her on Instagram @eyedoc.diaries.
